Cromolyn sodium prevents the release of histamine, an inflammatory chemical released by your immune system during an allergic reaction. It can be found in eye drops, nasal sprays, and inhalers. It is frequently used to prevent seasonal allergies.
Side effects
Side effects of cromolyn inhalation include:- sore throat
- bad taste in the mouth
- stomach pain
- cough
- stuffy nose
- itching or burning nasal passages

- watery, itchy, eyes
- stinging (goes away quickly)
